- The Choir and Chamber Orchestra of Buckfast Abbey – Saturday 18 February, 2017
A performance of Monteverdi’s monumental Vespers of 1610, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary by the Choir and Chamber Orchestra of Buckfast Abbey and directed by the Abbey’s Master of Music, Philip Arkwright.

- Totnes Good Food Market – Sunday 19 February, 2017
Just a short drive from Buckfast Abbey, Devon’s biggest fine food Farmers’ Market is returning to Totnes. Held on the third Sunday of each month, the market has a reputation for offering a wide range of quality produce from dozens of local producers, making it one of the tastiest ways to enjoy a stay in South Devon.

- Evening talk: ‘Brilliant Bogs and Magnificent Mires’, Devon Wildlife Trust – Wednesday 22 February, 2017
When visiting Devon, a walk on Dartmoor is an occasion not to be missed. Why not combine the experience with a chance to learn more about the little explored and fascinating natural landscapes that are the blanket bogs of Dartmoor?

- The Great Seed Giveaway, Buckfast Abbey – Saturday 25 February, 2017
The Great Seed Giveaway is back by popular demand. The seed swap is a great opportunity for green-fingered enthusiasts to help look after Devon’s biodiversity, swap seeds (or make a small donation if you don’t have any) and speak to the Abbey’s team of expert gardeners for tips on preparing your garden for spring. For those visiting the area on holiday, seeds from the Abbey Gardens will be a beautiful memento to grow in your garden at home.

- Buckfastleigh Farmers Market – Every Thursday throughout February
Enjoy a taste of Devon at Buckfastleigh Farmers Market. Perched on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and just a stone’s throw from Buckfast Abbey, the market is a foodie delight.
Local farmers bring their own delicious products and produce and with so much to choose from you will be spoilt for choice. From free-range home-reared beef, to Westcountry cheeses and fresh loaves of bread, we’re certain you’ll leave with a delicious memento of your trip.
